Canyon Vista View...

It's a road less traveled.

A narrow road, winding it's way through lush green forest, skirting freshly plowed fields, crossing rocky streams and passing through quaint little villages.

If you happen to have an ongoing love for nature and a strong desire to leave your daily worries behind, you won't mind the trip.

World's End State Park, nestled along the banks of the Loyalsock Creek in Sullivan County, is one of Mother Nature's masterpieces where exploring the treasures of the outdoors brings back fond memories and gives you good reason to create new ones.

Roasting marshmallows and telling stories around an evening campfire is the perfect ending to a day of swimming, fishing and hiking. If you enjoy camping, there are cabins available along the creek and also grounds to set up tents and trailers.

The trails are well marked for novice hikers and there are some trails that present a challenge, even for the most experienced hikers.

Before you leave, however, don't miss the chance to cross the creek by way of the covered bridge and grab lunch and a cold drink at an old fashioned country store. It's just a short distance from the Park.

Wait for me while I catch my breath!

Wishing everyone great adventures!

  1. good morning barbara...these winding paths look so inviting.
we golden children used to go for miles on hikes,
now that i am older, there are really no woods around here to walk in....just lots of blocks of streets.
i used to walk THEM for miles but alas the last six months since i have been diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy, i can barely walk a half block!
and oh the hike that you went on and took such good photos of looks soooooo inviting!
have a good day, eh?...love terry

  3. Love the covered bridge picture. My husband and I took a tour of covered bridges last fall on the East coast and it was so beautiful.
